Up Coming Events/ Dates for your Diary

The annual remberance mass for the deceased members of the Club takes place on the 27th of November at 7.30pm. All family, friends & members welcome.  The Mens AGM is on the 28th of November at 8pm, pls support the great work that the Mens Committee are doing in the Club. The 6th of December is the Joint AGM.  A comprehensice round up of the year in Cill Dara is provided by the Joint Committee, All welcome. 

Nicky Brennans Captains Dinner

Last Saturday night was Nicy’s Captains Dinner. 110 members, guests and Nickys family sat down to a fabulous 3 course dinner prepared by Hugh and staff. George Washington completed the night with plenty of songs for the audience to dance to. A great night was had by all, a fitting finish to his Captains year. Congratulations and well done to Nicky, Liz and their family for 2019 Captaincy in Cill Dara.  

Centenary Committee – Festival of Golf

The Centenary Committee has a fundraising weekend on the 13th, 14th & 15th of September. On Friday the 13th, it is the Ladies Open Two Person Team.  There is a novel element to this competition as it is a “Criss-Cross” Stableford format, over 18 holes. Ruth Conlan and The Burrows Pub in Rathangan are the kind sponsors. Saturday the 14th is a Mens Open Singles Stableford, 18 holes, sponsored by Mr Paul Moran. Sunday the 15th is a Two Person Team – Semi Open, 18 Holes. Any combination, sponsored by Paddy Dawson & Jim Gorman. Invite your friends to play at our fabulous course and help raise some much needed funds for our Centenary Celebrations in 2020.

Thursday Fourball

The annual trip organised by The Thursday Fourball organsiers – Dermot Corcoran, Declan Loakman & Ger Heffernan takes place on Saturday the 7th of September. The bus will collect all participants from the Club car park at 7.15am, departing at 7.30 am sharp. A day of golf, food and fun is promised. Pls contact the office should you wish to book a place.

JB Carr Diamond Trophy

Commisserations to the JB Carr Team and Managers, who had travelled the length and breadth of Leinster to get through to the All Ireland Final last weekend.  They battled hard against opposition from Castlebar Golf Club and Rossmore Golf Club. Thanks to all the supports that travelled to Woodenbridge for the final and all the other courses along their journey.
